Katherine Stewart Ransom, DVM Chief Of Staff

Dr. Ransom has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery since 1999.  She showed an interest in animals and science at an early age and enjoyed caring for her families’ dog, cat, rabbits and gerbils.  Katherine attended high school at Bancroft School in Worcester and graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1994.  Since graduating from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999, she has worked for Woburn Animal Hospital, Porter Square Veterinarian, Shepherd Veterinary Clinic, and Leominster Animal Hospital.  She has done externships in dental surgery and wildlife medicine.

Mark Ransom, Practice Administrator

Ever since Mark was born he has had animals in his life. As a baby he lived with bull terriers, from there he lived mostly with mixed breeds and Hamsters until college when he discovered his admiration and love for Rottweilers. Before his vision for designing and building the animal hospital Mark and Dr. Ransom designed and oversaw the construction of their house.  He has worked in the software industry for 13 years where among other things he has learned the power of  communication and team work.  He has a degree in Chemistry and Food science.  Mark enjoys spending time with his family, spending time with close friends, boating, fishing, everything high tech, and tinkering with computers.
